An educational event was held within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”

The Ombudsman’s South Regional Center held an educational event in Alar village, in collaboration with the Jalilabad District Branch of the Council of Elders of the Republic, the Representative of the Head of Jalilabad District Executive Power for the Alar Village Administrative Territorial District, and the Alar Municipality within the framework of the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture".

Ziya Ismayilov, Head of the Regional Center, delivered a speech on "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture: National and International Legal Mechanisms in the Context of Human Rights." He pointed out ongoing national reforms for creating a healthy, safe, accessible, inclusive, and sustainable living environment.

Furthermore, the attendees were informed of the legal significance of a barrier-free environment for persons with disabilities, environmental protection, ensuring public participation in urban planning processes, and adhering to equality principles. The event was followed by questions from the attendees.
