The Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva Held Reception of Applicants in Lankaran

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan, during her visit to Lankaran, visited the Monument to National Leader, Heydar Aliyev together with Taleh Garashov, the Head of the Lankaran Executive Power Office. Paying tribute to the memory of the National Leader, the Ombudsman laid flowers at his monument. 
During the visit, the Ombudsman held a reception for applicants. The issues raised during the reception concerned a range of social, economic, and legal matters, particularly ownership and property rights, the enforcement of court judgements, social security, disability determination, medical assistance, employment, citizenship and other legal issues. 
The Ombudsman listened to the issues raised by each applicant, provided legal guidance, and advised them on measures to protect and exercise their rights and freedoms.
Regarding matters that could be resolved immediately, the relevant instructions were given, whereas it was stated that issues requiring further investigation would remain under review and that the relevant authorities would be contacted to facilitate their resolution in accordance with the requirements of the law.
The reception of applicants is an important aspect of the Ombudsman's work, which is aimed at protecting human and civil rights and freedoms, ensuring the prompt examination of appeals, and restoring violated rights.
During the reception, applicants were also provided with information on the procedures for lodging with the Ombudsman.
