The Ombudsman’s Representative Spoke at the Final Conference “Organization of Nursing Services Based on International Standards in the Treatment of Hemophilia”

On September 23, 2026, by the Association of Hemophilia and Other Hemostasis Disorders hosted the closing conference for its project “Organizing Nursing Care in Hemophilia Treatment Based on International Standards,” with support from the State Agency for Support to Non-Governmental Organizations and TƏBİB (Administration of Regional Medical Divisions). 
Opening the event, Ayaz Huseynov, Chairman of the Association, presented on the ‘Implementation and Benefits of Home Treatment for Blood Clotting Disorders based on International Experience’. 
The official part of the event featured remarks from government officials, and civil society representatives, medical professionals, and experts.
Ayten Tarverdiyeva, Head of the Unit on the Protection of PWDs Rights within the Department of Equality and Non-Discrimination Monitoring at the Ombudsman Office, outlined the Ombudsman's mandate. She detailed their role in monitoring the implementation of the CRPD and CRC, as well as mandate for ensuring equality and preventing discrimination.
The conference concluded with the presentation of a recommendation package to be submitted to the relevant state bodies.
