The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan met with a Ukrainian colleague

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, held a meeting with Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights. 

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman briefed the guest on her activities in the protection of human rights and freedoms and efforts to strengthen international cooperation in this area.

Sabina Aliyeva expressed satisfaction with the productive partnership between the two ombuds institutions and discussed prospects with her Ukrainian colleague to strengthen human rights protections under current circumstances.

The Ombudsman stressed the importance of further strengthening ties and collaboration among ombuds institutions to safeguard human rights and freedoms.

Dmytro Lubinets thanked Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva for the warm reception and hospitality, highlighting the value of peer-to-peer knowledge sharing between rights bodies in promoting human rights.

The two parties also exchanged views on several other matters of mutual interest.
