The Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva received the Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan

The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, has received Dirk Lölke, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the Ombudsman provided the guest with detailed information regarding her activities in the field of the protection of human rights and freedoms.

Underlining the importance of studying advanced international practices in human rights, the Ombudsman  highlighted the ongoing cooperation with international organizations and NHRIs of other countries, including Germany.

During the meeting, questions raised by the Ambassador regarding visits conducted to institutions where detained persons cannot leave of their own free will under the Ombudsman's National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) mandate, as well as best practices achieved in this regard, were answered. Furthermore, other matters of mutual interest were discussed.
