An awareness event was organized in the high school number 259 named after M.A. Sabir, within the framework of the project "Don't be silent, make your voice be heard!" initiated by the Sabunchu District Executive Authority, with the support of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, the Baku City Education Department under the Ministry of Education and Science of Azerbaijan, and the State Committee for Family, Women and Child Affairs.
In the joint event, organized by secondary schools No. 4, 69, and 259 of Baku city, which also brought together various participants, including those from municipalities, the executive authority office, principals of schools, teachers, and students. The Ombudsman Office was represented by Ms. Raida Amirbeyova.
In her speech, Ms. Raida Amirbeyova spoke about the projects implemented in relation to gender equality, and the activities launched by the Ombudsman Office carried out to ensure and address the issues relating to women and child rights.
During the event, the students presented their scenes on the topics of bullying, domestic violence, child marriage, truancy and their consequences.
Summarzing, schoolchildren who participated in the Project on "Don't be silent, make your voice heard!" were awarded diplomas and gifts.
