The Ombudsman held a meeting with the creative team behind the sign language version of the UN CRC

Sabina Aliyeva, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with the creative team behind the sign language version of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

During the meeting, S. Aliyeva provided comprehensive information to the team about the Ombudsman, including the Constitutional Law, mandate, and areas of activity. It was noted that the protection of children's rights and the rights of persons with disabilities has always been one of the priority directions in the Ombudsman's activities.

At the meeting, the creative team was honored with certificates of appreciation by the Ombudsman for their support in preparing the electronic book based on the CRC, translated into sign language, in order to ensure the acceptance and use of sign language in official relations, as required by the UN CRPD.
