The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center held a legal awareness event on 'Preventing Domestic Violence'

The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center in cooperation with Ganja Education House Public Union organized a legal awareness event on 'Preventing Domestic Violence' with active participation of young people.

During his speech, Sabuhi Abbasov, the head of the Regional Center, emphasized that addressing the issue of domestic violence and eliminating its consequences through preventive measures in this area is one of the main priority directions.

It was said that the Ombudsman institution consistently continues its educational activities promoting the fight against violence for various groups of the population.

Later, participants were informed about the legal and psychological aspects of violence, the provisions of the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, and the National Action Plan for the fight against domestic violence for the years 2020–2023, approved by the Presidential Decree dated November 27, 2020.

At the end of the event, questions of the participants were answered.
