The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to our country, Ms. Guo Min.
Welcoming the guest, the Ombudsman emphasized the importance of developing cooperation between our countries based on the exchange of experience in the field of protection of human rights and freedoms, along with economic, social and cultural relations.
It was noted that the Azerbaijani Ombudsperson, who has established relations with the Ombudsman and human rights institutions operating in the People's Republic of China within the framework of the Asian Ombudsman Association, attaches great importance to the exchange of experience with these institutions in various fields of human rights.
Expressing gratitude for the mutual exchange of views and warm welcome, the guest congratulated the Ombudsperson on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the institution. She emphasized that the existing cooperation between the Ombudsman institutions within the framework of international cooperation is commendable.
Thanking the guest for the congratulation, S. Aliyeva added that at the International Baku Conference of the Ombudsman and National Human Rights Institutions, organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Ombudsman institution, China's relevant institution for the protection of human rights also made a presentation that captured the attention of the audience.
