On the occasion of the 20th November – World Children’s Day, the UNICEF Representative in Azerbaijan, the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Affairs and the "Regional Development" Public Union jointly organized study tours of children on the premises of their offices, belonging to the vulnerable category of the population to the state institutions and meetings with heads of those institutions, during a jointly implemented campaign.
The next such meeting, which aimed at supporting the development of children's management and decision-making skills from an early age and increasing their self-confidence, which conventionally titled "Children in Charge", was held with the Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva.
During the meeting, the children were widely informed about the activities of the Commissioner’s Office, as well as actively participated in the management process together with Sabina Aliyeva, and came up with interesting proposals and initiatives related to the provision of children's rights in our country.
It should be noted that the campaign is being carried out in order to promote children's rights, to raise awareness among school communities and public representatives, and at the same time to contribute to increasing children's knowledge and skills, and personal development.
