The Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva pays an official visit to Poland to attend an OSCE-organized meeting

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva participates in the Meeting of Heads of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Region held in Warsaw, Poland.

Along with Azerbaijan, the heads and representatives of NHRIs from 33 countries take part in this high-level meeting organized by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). The event also brought together the representatives of the United Nations, European Union, Council of Europe, as well as the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, European Network of National Human Rights Institutions, European Network of Equality Bodies, and International Ombudsman Institute.

The event is to host discussions aimed at supporting the resilience of independent NHRIs in the OSCE region, addressing the threats faced by them, and promoting the establishment of such institutions in countries where they don't exist.
