An online meeting was held between the Ombudsman Office and representatives of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population as part of the "Human Rights Month" announced by the Commissioner of Azerbaijan.

Speaking at the meeting, the chief of the staff of the Ombudsman Office Aydin Safixanli noted that the reforms implemented in recent years in the field of protection of social rights, which occupy an important place in the human rights system, have yielded successful results. In this regard, he appreciated the steps taken to ensure the rights of citizens to social security and improve the quality of services on the basis of cooperation with the SSPF.

The SSPF Chairman Himalay Mamishov spoke about the increase in social payments, especially in the last 4 years, the significant increase in these payments, and e-services provided to the population, as well as informed about the work done by the Fund to improve this area and the priority targets.

Afterward, other officials of the Ombudsman's Office and the SSPF, who took part in the meeting, spoke about the effective provision of social security rights of citizens and the importance of legal awareness among the population in this area.

The meeting focused on future cooperation.
