Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman held events on the International Day for Protection of Children

Within the “Human Rights Month” initiated by the Azerbaijani Ombudsman, which is run from 18 May to 18 June, the Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman held events dedicated to the 1 June- International Day for Protection of Children.

The awareness activities in connection with this remarkable day were organized in Guba City Boarding School for Children Deprived of Parental Care and Special Vocational School.   

Head of the Regional Center, Bahruz Efendiyev, congratulated the children on behalf of the Ombudsman, saying that the protection of the rights of children is also in the focus of the Ombudsman.

The children were also broadly informed about the history of this remarkable day, provisions on the child rights declared in international and national legal documents, as well as the Ombudsman’s activity in the field of the protection of child rights.
