A roundtable discussion on the topic of "Ensuring Citizens' Electoral Rights" was organized in Sheki city within the framework of the cooperation between the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan and the Central Election Commission (CEC), in relation to the upcoming early presidential elections.
The Chief of the Ombudsman Office, Aydin Safikhanli, in his opening speech, said awareness-raising activities organized for election preparedness cover both the capital and the regions.
A. Safikhanli also informed the participants about the importance of the observation work, which is based on transparency and justice principles during the election process. He touched upon the significance of this mission to resolve shortcomings that may arise during the election process.
Moreover, A. Safikhanli highlighted the importance of ensuring the electoral rights of individuals with limited health capabilities.
Samir Tagiyev, a CEC representative, spoke about the work carried out for preparations for the upcoming early presidential elections, as well as the implemented and planned measures.
Speaking, Nizami Nadirkhanli, a CEC member, emphasized the importance of the observation work for more effective provision of electoral rights.
The questions raised by participants were answered during the discussions.
