The Ombudsman investigated the information about the murder of a woman placed in the Child Shelter " Umid Yeri" (Place of Hope)

The information spread through mass media concerning the murder of a woman placed with her children in the children’s shelter “Ümid Yeri” (Place of Hope) by her husband was investigated and taken under control.

The Ombudsman Office contacted the management of the shelter to get detailed information about the death and discussed the protection of the rights of persons placed in the shelter. Furthermore, the psychological condition of the three children of the deceased was learned and it was clarified whether this event somehow affected the other residents of the shelter.

The Ombudsman Office appealed to the Prosecutor Office of the Khazar District to ensure the objective investigation of the case. 

The case will be kept under the control of the Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and necessary measures will be taken to ensure the protection of the rights of the children.
