Within the framework of the collaboration between the Ombudsman Office and the Central Election Commission (CEC), awareness-raising events on the topic of 'Ensuring Citizens' Electoral Rights' continue in relation to the upcoming early presidential elections. The next relevant round table was held in the Masalli district.
Aydin Safikhanli, the Chief of the Ombudsman Office, said that the Office implements ongoing activities to ensure and protect citizens' electoral rights and added the joint awareness-raising events with the CEC organized in Baku and regions regarding the protection of citizens' electoral rights. A. Safikhanli provided information about the Ombudsman Institution's experience in election observation.
Shaitdin Aliyev, a CEC member, gave detailed information about the work and implemented measures during this period. He emphasized the importance of the CEC’s first-ever “Memory Handbook for Members of the Expert Group.”
While speaking about undertaken measures, Javid Zeynalov, another CEC member, particularly added that for voters, the 'Check Voter Status' functional feature at 'ASAN Queue' terminals. It was noted that through this section, citizens can check their names on the voter list and find out at which polling station they should vote.
In the end, the participants of the roundtable shared their thoughts and experiences, and their questions were answered.
