Ombudsman conducted a visit to the Military Unit of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

In accordance with the agreed Work Plan between the Ombudsman, Ministry of Defence, Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Command of the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva continues her regular visits to military units, military educational and medical institutions.

The Ombudsman and the staff members of the Office inspected the military unit N of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Baku.

During the event, the Deputy Commander of the Internal Troops - Chief of the Personnel Department, and the commander of the military unit gave detailed information about the history and activities of the Internal Troops, as well as the participation of their personnel members in the Patriotic War, the martyr and veteran military servants of the Internal Troops.

In the course of the visit, the Ombudsman inspected the headquarters of the military unit, dormitory, military ideological office, canteen, kitchen, medical unit, museum, and other facilities reflecting the history and activities of the Internal Troops. She also got acquainted with the recreation and living conditions for servicemen.

While monitoring the canteen of the facility, the Commissioner had talks with the civilians working there and thanked them.

The Commissioner discussed with the Command of the Internal Troops the prospects for further expansion of mutual cooperation.
