A next roundtable on the topic “Ensuring Citizens' Electoral Rights" was held

Within the framework of cooperation between the Ombudsman Office of Azerbaijan and the Central Election Commission (CEC), awareness-raising events on the topic of "Ensuring Citizens' Electoral Rights" related to the upcoming early presidential elections are ongoing. In this regard, the next roundtable was organized in the Guba district.

The Chief of the Ombudsman Office, Aydın Safikhanlı, said that the awareness-raising events are specifically implemented for the preparation of the elections. Speaking about the significance of the observation mission, A. Safikhanlı emphasized that the Institute has a role in ensuring more effective protection of voting rights in this process.

The CEC member, Valida Kazımova, spoke about the activities carried out by the Commission, adding that information booklets for the education of election subjects of  different statuses were prepared.

The CEC member, Shirzad Mammadli, informed the participants about the measures implemented and planned by the Commission in order to prepare for the early presidential elections. 

During the discussions, the questions of the participants were answered.
