Representative of the Ombudsman participated in the Second Coordination Meeting of UN Network on Migration in Azerbaijan

The UN Network on Migration in Azerbaijan has conducted its second coordination meeting through videoconferencing. At the event, which has brought together representatives of various UN specialized agencies, relevant public institutions, and NGOs, the Ombudsman Office was represented by Ms. Turan Jahangirova, head of the Unit on Work with Families of Martyrs and War Veterans. It should be noted that Ombudsman Office is also a member of the noted-above Network.

During the meeting, presentations were made on the implementation of the Global Compact on Migration and the Development Plan for 2021-2025, the Global Forum on Migration and Development, our country's contribution to the partnership in the field of international migration, and other related issues.

The event agenda covered the issues of future cooperation and joint initiatives in the field of migration management, which is characterized by the application of various concepts and models.
