At the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, a delegation led by Ms. Ana Jumaliyeva, the head of the Commission for Protection against Discrimination of the Republic of Bulgaria, arrived in our country.
The main purposes of this official visit are strengthening mutual cooperation between the two institutions and conducting monitoring of the humanitarian situation in the liberated areas.
Today together with the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, the Delegation visited the Alley of Honour and Alley of Martyrs. At the Alley of Honour, a wreath was laid down at the grave of the National Leader Haydar Aliyev and his memory was paid tribute to. Then the grave of prominent ophthalmologist and scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was visited.
Then, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the Delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs. The memory of the martyrs who died for the freedom and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored.
