Regional Centers of the Ombudsman pay special attention to the families of martyrs and veterans

By the instructions of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, the staff members of the Regional Centers of the Ombudsman continue to visit the families of martyrs and veterans from regions and pay special attention to their concerns.  

In the frame of these visits, Mr. Bahruz Efendiyev, the head of Guba Regional Center visited the families of martyrs of the Second Karabakh War, including Samir Suleymanov, Afsan Saliyev, Rahim Mikay?lov, Jalil Kheyrullayev, Eynulla Latifov, Surkhay Mehtiyev, Ulvi Mammadov, Yashar Khudayev, Mehdi Murtuzov, Agil Malikov, Orkhan Babayev and of veterans, including Kanan Ahmedov, Elmir Gedirov, Omar Lachinov. The representatives of the Ombudsman delivered condolences to the families of martyrs on behalf of the Ombudsman. During the visits, the families were informed about the human rights activities of the Office in the related area.    

The head of the Jalilabad Regional Center Mr. Ziya Ismayilov together with the representative of the Social Services Agency visited the family of the veteran Mr. Hasil Mehdiyev. During the visit, the issues related to the treatment and concerns of the veteran were and legal advice regarding the raised issues was provided. 

In the course of the visits, it was also noted that the state always pays special attention to the families of martyrs and veterans, as well as is taking measures for strengthening their social security and well-being.
