The delegation led by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva participated in several meetings hosted by various entities within the frame of the visit to Bulgaria.
Foremost, the Ombudsman met with the members of the Commission for Protection Against Discrimination (CPD) of Bulgaria. During the meeting, the parties discussed the directions of their activities. The Ombudsman gave detailed information about the activity conducted in the period of the Patriotic War to investigate the facts of violations of international humanitarian law, as well as her fact-finding missions, and reports prepared.
Within the frames of the visit, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman met with Ms. Diana Kovacheva, the Ombudsman of Bulgaria. The Ombudspersons discussed the bilateral relations, as well as prospects between the institutions.
Then, the Ombudsman met with teaching and academic staff in the Bulgarian University of Library Studies and Information Technologies. Ombudsman also gave information about the activity of the Institution and answered the questions addressed to her.
