The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Office and the Commission for Protection Against Discrimination of Bulgaria

A delegation led by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva is on an official visit to Sofia at the invitation of the head of the Commission for Protection Against Discrimination of Bulgaria Ms. Ana Jumaliyeva.

The visit is aimed mainly at an exchange of experience in fighting against discrimination and strengthening bilateral cooperation. For this reason, two institutions signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU covered the issues of reinforcing the exchange of information between two Institutions regarding ensuring the rights of citizens between the two States and organizing scientific conferences, seminars, and training related to human rights.  

The official meetings of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman held within the frames of this visit are continued.
