On the occasion of September 27 - Remembrance Day, the Office and Regional Centers of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan commemorated the martyrs of the Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
27 September has left a special mark on the recent history of Azerbaijan as the beginning of the events leading to the restoration of justice and victory under the motto "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!". The victory in the 44-days of war under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev is a masterpiece created by the heroic soldiers and officers of the Azerbaijani Army and the martyrs who died for our territorial integrity.
In accordance with the Presidential Order dated December 2, 2020, on the Day of Remembrance held for the first time this year, we pay tribute to the memory of our citizens fallen in the Second Karabakh War, including those who were killed as a result of Armenian attacks on civilian objects, and we wish them mercy and patience to their families.
