A delegation of the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission visited the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan

As reported, the delegation of experts led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human RightsCommission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC) is on an official visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva.

As part of the official visit of the delegation to Azerbaijan, fact-finding mission members will have meetings with several institutions.

The OIC IPHRC delegation members and Mr. Aydin Safikhanli, Head of the Ombudsman Office, and a member of the Commission met with Mr. Ali Huseynli, First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The meeting focused on the joint fact-finding mission of the delegation in the liberated areas, as well as in the areas destroyed by rocket attacks on civilian population and facilities located far from the zone of active hostilities during the Patriotic War, as well as monitoring of acts of vandalism against historical and cultural monuments.
