At the invitation of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman, the next international delegation is on an official visit to our country

At the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, another international delegation is on an official visit to Azerbaijan to carry out a fact-finding mission in our liberated lands, as well as in areas located far from zone of active hostilities and destroyed by rocket attacks on civilian population and infrastructure.

The war crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, the destruction of cultural monuments, and the consequences of environmental terrorism will be investigated on the spot together with a delegation of experts led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC IPHRC).

Today, the delegation visited the Alley of Honors and the Alley of Martyrs together with the head of the Ombudsman Office, a member of the OIC IPHRC Mr. Aydin Safikhanli. First, members of the delegation paid tribute to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors, then visited the grave of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Later, the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan was commemorated in the Alley of Martyrs.

The public will be informed about the official meetings and fact-finding missions to be held during the visit.
