Visits to the families of martyrs continue

Upon the instructions of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, the staff members of the Ombudsman Office and regional centers continue to visit the families of our servicemen who fought for the territorial integrity of our country and rose to martyrdom during the Second Karabakh War.

Staff of Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman visited the family of Mammadov Vusal Elshan oglu, who became martyr during the 44-day Patriotic War, and stressed that the martyr's glorious path of struggle and exemplary youth won the sympathy of society.

Sabuhi Abbasov, head of Ganja Regional Center, noted that the Ombudsman Office always pays special attention and care to the families of war martyrs and war veterans, ensuring their rights, and stressed the multifaceted activities of the Commissioner in this direction. Regional Center staff members took part in the opening ceremonies of the fountain built in memory of the martyr of the Patriotic War Rashad Alakbarov in Ganja, as well as of the fountain built on the occasion of the birthday of the martyr Aykhan Musayev. They also met with the families of martyrs Aliyev Javid Samir oglu and Aliyev Shohrat Janbulat oglu from Ganja, conveyed to them the condolences of the Commissioner and paid tribute to the glorious battles path of the martyrs.

Ceremony of opening of a fountain built in memory of the martyr of the Patriotic War Azizov Ibrahim Shameddin oglu was held in Soltankend village of Jalilabad district. The opening ceremony was attended by officials of the Ombudsman's Jalilabad Regional Center, Jalilabad District Executive Power, District Youth and Sports Department, relatives of the martyr, veterans and villagers. The heroic martyr Ibrahim Azizov served as a tank driver during his military service. He displayed special bravery during the war and took part in the battles from Fuzuli to Shusha and became martyr. Martyr was awarded by the President, victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev with medals "For the Motherland", "Brave Warrior", "For the release of Fuzuli", "For the release of Gubadli" and "For the liberation of Shusha".

Z.Ismayilov, the head of Jalilabad Regional Center met with the parents and family members of the martyr and expressed his condolences on behalf of the Ombudsman Ms. Sabina Aliyeva. During the meeting, Z. Ismayilov noted that the Commissioner regularly visits the families of martyrs and war veterans, and is always interested in the issues raised by them.

Appreciating the attention and care shown to the families of martyrs and the activities of the Ombudsman Institution to restore the rights of our citizens, the parents of the martyrs expressed their gratitude to the Ombudsman Ms. Sabina Aliyeva.
