The Ombudsman met with the children of martyrs in the Winners Camp

On July 13, 2021, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the 14-day-long "Winners' Camp" for the Patriotic War heroes' children, which began at the Republican Boarding Gymnasium of Humanities named after A.S. Makarenko in Shuvalan district.

The purpose of the camp for 13-14-year-olds, organized by the charity organization "For Azerbaijan" with the support of the State Migration Service and a number of local agencies, is to support the healthy and intellectual development of the children of martyrs and make their summer vacation more interesting.

During the camp, the Commissioner inquired about the nutrition of children, their health, and the organization of leisure time.

The Ombudsman met with the children of martyrs participating in the camp and spent a good day with them. Sabina Aliyeva learned about the wishes and desires of children, their needs, as well as informed them about their right to apply to the Ombudsman to solve their problems.

The Commissioner also presented each child in the camp with educational materials, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child, as well as various gifts.
