The regional centers of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan held online events dedicated to the 98th birthday anniversary of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev.
The Sheki Regional Center of the Ombudsman together with Heydar Aliyev Center of Gabala district held a video conference on "Heydar Aliyev is the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state" with the participation of staff members of departments, enterprises, and organizations operating in Gabala district. The head of Sheki Regional Center Mr. Parviz Mammadov noted that the adoption of the Constitutional Law Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan on December 28, 2001, at the initiative of the Great Leader was important in recognizing Azerbaijan as a democratic and legal state, along with other reforms in the legal system.
The head of the Ombudsman's Ganja Regional Center Mr. Sabuhi Abbasov, speaking at an online event on "Eternal Leader as Azerbaijan" organized jointly with Heydar Aliyev Center of Ganja city and the library branch No. 16 of the Central Library System, said that the recognition of Azerbaijan in the world today as an independent, legal and democratic state is connected with Heydar Aliyev's name.
The head of the Ombudsman's Guba Regional Center Mr. Bahruz Afandiyev spoke at a video conference on "Heydar Aliyev and human rights" organized jointly with the Guba district Heydar Aliyev Center and with the participation of Shabran and Siyazan districts Heydar Aliyev Centers. He mentioned the normative documents adopted in our country for the protection of human rights, state programs, institutional reforms, and also noted the invaluable role of the Great Leader in this area.
