Head of Sheki Regional Center of Ombudsman participated in an online legal awareness conference

Head of Sheki Regional Center of the Ombudsman, Mr.Parviz Mammadov participated in an online videoconference on the topic “Let’s Learn and Know our Rights” organized by Sheki City Education Department. The representatives of the city executive office, city-district police officers, secondary school principals, teaching staff, and students have attended the event.

At the meeting, Mr. Mammadov said that Azerbaijan has ratified a number of international treaties on child rights and adopted very significant legislative acts in this regard. He also briefed the work of the Ombudsman in the protection of child rights at the national level.

He also enlightened the students who participated in the event about the provisions of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, national laws “On Child Rights”, “On Protection of Children from Harmful Information”, and about the national child strategy for years 2020-2030 .

The participants shared their views on the topic. Later video clips and presentations have been demonstrated.
