Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman held online legal awareness events

Ganja Regional Center of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in coordination with Goygol City Youth and Sport Department launched an online legal awareness event “Legal and Psychological Aspects of Domestic Violence (DV)”. The event has brought together representatives of the city executive office, city youth, and sports department, the city Child and Family Support Center under the State Committee on Family, Women, and Child Issues and active young people. 

During the meeting, Mr.Sabuhi Abbasov, the Head of Ganja Regional Center gave detailed information about the work of the HRCA in the field of prevention of DV. During the active discussions, various recommendations have been put forward and questions raised were answered.  

Besides this, within the frame of “Nizami Year”, the Regional Center has also organized a joint online conference “Nizami Ganjavi and Human Rights” dedicated to the national poet Nizami Ganjavi (XII and XIII ccs) with Yevlakh District Heydar Aliyev Center. The conference was attended by representatives of cultural facilities and education institutions and the youth.  

The head of Regional Center also noted that Ganjavi's work is an important piece of world cultural and philosophical heritage, which set the foundations of modern human rights.

The participants have performed a cultural show based on the poet's "Khamsa" (a quintet) and shared their views on the images depicted in the poet's works.
