The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ombudsman Association (OICOA) continues its series of online training courses between the ombudsman institutions of the Member States. So, another training course within the project was organized by the General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the support of the Association, of which Azerbaijan is also a member. Some staff members of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Institution also participated in this online training, along with representatives of relevant institutions from Turkey, Pakistan, and Morocco.
The participants were briefed about the country's experience in ensuring human rights and freedoms, including the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups of the population.
It should be noted that some time ago, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Institution also organized a similar online training for the ombudsman institutions of the OICOA countries. The training also included a special presentation on the Ombudsman’s fact-finding missions carried out during the Patriotic War.
