The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva and several staff members of the Ombudsman Office visited the family of Abbas Yusifov, a newly-wed veteran of the Patriotic War.
During the meeting, the Ombudsman congratulated the newly married couple noting that their family is a good example for the young people of Azerbaijan. She expressed that the Azerbaijani people feel sympathy for all soldiers and military officers for their courage and heroism as a result of which they liberated our lands from occupation under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
The Ombudsman learned the concerns of the young family, noting that she would take the raised issues under her control.
Furthermore, Sabina Aliyeva delivered her good wishes and presented gifts of the Ombudsman Office to the newlyweds.
In his turn, the war veteran spoke about the state care provided to him and thanked the Ombudsman for her attention.
Teymur Samadov, the First Deputy Head of the Sumgayit City Executive Power, and a staff member, Araz Farhadov also took part at this meeting.
Worth noting that Lieutenant A. Yusifov participated during hostilities in Sugovushan and Talish directions and on September 30, he got injured as a result of a mine blast, wherefore s a result of which he underwent left leg amputation. He was granted with the 3rd degree Order “For the Service to the Fatherland” by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
