The Azerbaijani Ombudsman appealed to the Public Defender of Georgia

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva has officially appealed to the Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia, Ms. Nino Lomjaria on the basis of the information spread on a number of the Internet resources about the engagement ceremony of two minors in the Georgian village of Ponichala.

In the appeal, taking into account the seriousness and sensitivity of the issue, the Azerbaijani Ombudsman asked to take appropriate measures by the Georgian state authorities to promptly investigate this fact and to ensure the protection of the rights of the minors.
