Within the frames of the international cooperation the staff members of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan take part in an online training seminar organized with the support of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ombudsmen Association.
The seminar, which was attended by the representatives of the Ombudsman Institutions of the OIC member countries were informed about the experience of the Turkish Ombudsman Institution on the rules of consideration of applications and complaints. The purpose of the seminar was to increase the knowledge and skills of employees in the field of effective protection of human rights, to strengthen the exchange of experience between colleagues.
According to the decision of the Board of the OIC Ombudsmen Association, of which the Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva is also a member, organization of such seminars is planned in order to further increase the exchange of the experience among ombudsman institutions.
The first part of the online training seminar, which began with the opening speech of the Chief Ombudsman of Turkey, the President of the OIC Ombudsmen Association Mr. ?eref Malkoç, comprehensive presentation was made related to ensuring the right to appeal, as well as the mandate of the Turkish Ombudsman, the reception and implementation of applications and complaints.
The second part of the seminar was dedicated to the exchange of experiences between the participants. Staff members of the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Institution informed other participants about the reception of appeals by the Commissioner, the rules of their consideration, as well as asked their questions of interest.
