At the initiative of the Ombudsman, visits were paid to health, social and penitentiary institutions

On the eve of December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, on the instructions of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sabina Aliyeva, the next visits were organized to Boarding House  No. 1 of the Ministry of Health, Juvenile Correctional Institution and the Penitentiary Institution No. 4 for Female Convicts under the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice .

During the visit paid to Boarding House No. 1 of the Ministry of Health, Juvenile Correctional Facility, staff members of the Ombudsman Office conveyed congratulations of the Ombudsman to children and employees of the institution on the upcoming holidays and presented them with holiday gifts.

During the next visit to the Penitentiary Institution No. 4 for Female Convicts, the building for those with infants was inspected, and the Ombudsman's congratulations and gifts were delivered to the imprisoned mothers.

Recommendations were made in accordance with national and international laws in order to improve the detention conditions and increase the attention to the protection of the detainees’ rights.
