Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva and President of the OIC Ombudsmen Association carry out joint fact-finding mission in Ganja

As previously reported, a delegation led by the President of the Ombudsmen Association of the OIC and Turkish Chief Ombudsman, Mr. Şeref Malkoç is on a visit to our country at the invitation of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan, Ms.Sabina Aliyeva.

Currently, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and the President of the OIC Ombudsman Association, Turkish Chief Ombudsman with his delegation are carrying out a joint fact-finding mission in the city of Ganja, which has been terrorized by Armenia.

The objective of this joint fact-finding mission was to provide a legal assessment within international law and to bring the attention of the international community to the facts of serious human rights violations about the extensive human loss, injuries and damage to civilians, including children, women, the elderly, as a result of another terrorist attack in Ganja using prohibited weapons.

Ms.Sabina Aliyeva and Mr.Şeref Malkoç met with children who became orphans due to this attack and the victims. They also made on-site inspections in the area, which  Armenian armed forces targeted with ballistic missile from Armenia, and collected factual materials.

This terrorist attack in Ganja committed by the forbidden weapons by Armenia and which resulted in numerous casualties and serious destructions were severely condemned by all delegation members.

The facts collected during this fact-finding mission prove once again that the
Armed forces of the Republic of Armenia continue to commit war crimes, acts of terrorism and crimes against peace and humanity.

It should be noted that last week, Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva attended a meeting of the Association in question and urged the Ombudsmen to visit Azerbaijan and to see the situation on the spot.
