As it was reported, the artillery shelling by the Armenian armed forces on Ganja city, caused to excessive loss among civilian population, including injury to civilians and damage to civilian objects, historical and cultutal buildings, social facilities.
During those attacks, the city residents and their relatives got serious psychological trauma.Therefore, in these days, on the initiative of the Ombudsman and with support of a local NGO- “Clean World” Public Union, children and other residents of Ganja city, affected from the conflict-related trauma have got relevant psychological aid.
The purpose of such initiative was to safeguard the victims, who encountered a post-traumatic stress disorder and to rehabilitate them back to the society. For this purpose, the psychologist of the Public Union, Ms. Khatira Safarova and the head of the Ombudsman’s Ganja Regional Center, Mr. Sabuhi Abbasov have visited the children, Nilay Aliyeva (2), sister and brother-Aliyeva Sevil (16) and Aliyev Huseyin (8), who became orphans as well as other families, and their relatives, who became victims due to shelling of multi-apartment residential apartments, located in the central part of Ganja city. The psychologist provided the victims with a professional psychological service.
The Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva has also met with the victims, including children, during her fact-finding visits to Ganja and also had phone calls with them while the representatives of the Ombudsman’s Ganja Regional Center visited those people.
