Health condition of Tofig Yagublu is in focus of the Commissioner for Human Rights

On September 14, 2020, based on the instructions of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva, a doctor-member of the National Preventive Group of the Ombudsman visited Tofig Yagublu in the intensive care of the “City Hospital”, who was transferred here from the Investigation Isolator No. 3 of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice as a result of his hunger strtike. Furthermore, his health condition was inquired, and medical records were reviewed.

During the conversation within the visit, the health condition of T. Yagublu was also discussed with his doctor, Prof. Adil Geybulla.

It was found that T. Yagublu does not intake food at present, his health is stable and under the medical supervision.

This issue is in focus of the Ombudsman.
