Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman organized events

The Guba Regional Center of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan has launched events on the occasion of December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year at the Child and Youth Development Center based in Guba district. The administration of the Center, teaching staff and students took part in the event.

In the event, the head of the Regional Center, Bahruz Efendiyev firstly, greeted the participants on behalf of the Commissioner and conveyed her best wishes to them.

Later, he said that the Commissioner always focused particularly on the protection of child rights and that 24-hour hotline operates in a view to timely identify child abuse and other law violations for their investigation. Furthermore, it was told that by the initiative of the Ombudsman and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Hierarchic Child Rights Education has been successfully implemented in Baku and secondary schools of the surrounding districts since 2009-2010.

The staff of the center and pupils expressed their thankfulness to the Commissioner.

At the end of the event, the cultural performances prepared by pupils were displayed, drawing and craft exhibitions were visited.
