Representative of the Ombudsman attended book presentation ceremony regarding persons with disabilities

Presentation ceremony of the book named as “Disability is not inability” was held in the Vocational Rehabilitation Center No.1 for the Youth with disabilities under the State Social Protection Fund of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

The adviser of the Ombudsman on the Rights of the persons with disabilities Mugalib Mahmudov conveyed the Ombudsman’s greetings, congratulations and warm wishes at the event attended by the authorized staff members of the Ministry, the chairman of the Union of Disabled Persons’ Organizations, as well as creative residents of the social service establishments referred in the book.

The representative of the Ombudsman delivered a speech and noted the importance of the book-album published in Azerbaijani and English languages with an exquisite design, from the point of propagating the talented persons with disabilities succeeded with their creative activity inside and outside of the country. He noted that the book was welcomed with great interest by the Ombudsman Institute efficiently operating in the field of protection and promotion of human rights of all the groups of population regardless of sex or age, including the persons with disabilities.

It was mentioned that drafting and publishing such kind of books, brochures, booklets, posters, other print materials, relevant social video-clips serving to create positive image about the people with disabilities, successfully keeping up the cooperation relations on legal awareness with such persons and the members of the establishments providing them medical and social services also in the future, carry special importance. It was recommended to place the book on the internet.

The participants of the event expressed their gratitude for the inclusiveness, the support to widen and promote their creativity potential and the advertising of their handicrafts in that book-album which had given them great spiritual strength.
