The Ombudsman’s representatives conducted an investigation into the matter relative to a minor injured by his mother

The representatives of the Ombudsman conducted an on-site investigation concerning the information published in the media about the injury of a minor by his mother in Aghstafa district. 

The representatives of the West Regional Center, in collaboration with the representatives from the Commission on Affairs and Protection of the Rights of Minors under the Aghstafa District Executive Authority, had a meeting with the child in the District Central Hospital and were intrigued by his medical treatment and health condition. It was found that his current condition is satisfactory. 

In addition, a private meeting was held with his mother and grandfather. In order to investigate the issue of the child’s expulsion from school, the staff of the Regional Center had a meeting with representatives from the District Police Department, the Regional Branch of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and secondary school No. 1, named after A. Huseynov of the district. 

During the meetings, corresponding recommendations for the restoration of the minor’s rights, including his right to education, were made. 

With the aim of keeping the matter under control, the competent authorities were appealed to. At present, the relevant authorities are investigating the issue.
