National Preventive Mechanism Group of Ombudsman train newly admitted personell of Forensic Expertise Center

As part of their activity, the National Preventive Mechanism (NPM), run advocacy work for law enforcement agencies in higher educational institutions for training of human resources.

Together with the Ministry of Justice, compulsory courses include courses on human rights and national preventive mechanism activity of Ombudsman. So, the next lecture was about the national preventive mechanism activities taught by Rashid Rumzada, the head of the Department at the Ombudsman Office.

The course was for persons newly admitted to the Forensic Expertise Center. The trainees have been informed about legal reforms carried out also by taking account of Ombudsman’s proposals, national preventive mechanism activity, international standards of treatment and custody conditions, including UN Istanbul Protocol, SPT and CPT recommendations, relevant national legislation, monitoring, and the relevant international good practices.

The raised questions by trainees have been discussed.
