Representative of the Commissioner attended event dedicated to the World Health Day

Awareness-raising events on the topics of Right to Protection of Health, Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle and Let’s say END to harmful habits have been conducted in Lankaran city mixed-type children’s home, Integrated training boarding Gymnasium and pre-school facility in Girdany village within the Health Week joinly held by Jalilabad Regional Center of the Ombudsman and Lankaran Rayon Central Hospital. Staff members of the facility and children participated in these events.

The head of the Jalilabad Regional Center of the Ombudsman, Z.Ismayilov stressed upon that the right to health is one of the most important rights of human beings. The right to protection of health entails to strengthening physical health of everyone, ensuring long-lasting life activity, rendering relevant medical assistance and the aggregate of other important actions system. Z.Ismayilov has informed about the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the protection of health of population”, “On health insurance”, “On sanitary-epidemiological well-being”, state guarantees for human and citizen’s rights in the protection of health of population and other important provisions.

Tural Karimov, a doctor of the above-mentioned hospital made a speech on medical-awareness topics, delivered the broad information regarding the implementation of prophylactic actions in the protection of health of population, observance of sanitary and hygienic rules, threats caused by harmful habits to the health.

At the end of the event, the children underwent relevant medical checkup. Several children, having some problems in their health, were taken into care for further examination and treatment by T.Karimov.
