Recently, events on the topics of “Religious radicalism, harmful habits and their consequences”, “Protecting the youth from religious radicalism, drug addiction and early marriage”, “Let’s preserve our moral values!”, “Role of the youth in preserving moral values”, also on “Nasimi year” were jointly organized by Jalilabad Regional Center of the Ombudsman, Lankaran Regional department of the Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Lankaran City Education Department at the village schools of Lankaran.
These events were attended by staff members of state authorities, local residents, teachers and students.
The head of Jalilabad Regional Center of the Ombudsman, Ziya Ismailov made a speech in the event and spoke about the work carried out on making high quality education available to teenagers and youth, organizing leisure time efficiently, also on children’s rights as an integral part of human rights, the necessity of raising the children and youth in the spirit of patriotism, also recommended to be determined against harmful habits and early marriages.
Z.Ismailov gave broad information about the comprehensive activity of the Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova in the field of human rights, also in ensuring the rights of the child and youth.
He stated that Azerbaijan is a modern, developing state, at the same time is tightly close to its roots.
As well as, declaring 2019 as “Nasimi year” by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was highly evaluated both from the point of being a contribution to the heritage of that great poet and thinker and a value regarded to the entire Azerbaijani literature and culture.
