As it is known, Ganja, Sheki, Jalilabad and Guba Regional Centers of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan are effectively operating. Upon the instruction of the Ombudsman, the members of those regional centers regularly meet with the population in the regions they cover, including remote villages, listen to their appeals, receive the complaints, conduct investigations on site and direct them to the proceeding of the Ombudsman.
The Commissioner discussed the carried out activity with the Jalilabad Regional Center within the framework of her visit to the southern region. The staff members of the center were instructed to investigate the appeals and complaints received by the locals, citizens on site, to send them to the Ombudsman immediately, to deal with the appeals of the people sensitively and professionally, as well as to continue the series of awareness events in the region.
Then the Ombudsman met the Head of the Jalilabad District Executive Power and was informed on the ongoing wide renovation-construction work in the rayon.
The Ombudsman examined the appeals addressed from this rayon with the Head of the Executive Power, some of them were solved on thespot and relevant measures were implemented.
