In accordance with the plan-schedules agreed with the Minister of Defense, the Command of the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Interior, the Ombudsman’s employees, Head of the Unit for Protection of the Rights of Military Servicemen, Fazail Hasanov, and senior advisor, Murad Babayev, carried out monitoring to "X" military Unit of the Interior Troops of the Ministry of Interior as well as the Civil Defense Troops of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Ganja. The purpose of this monitoring is to investigate service conditions and treatment and how the rights of military servicemen were ensured in those military facilities.
Ombudsman’s representatives have inspected all military objects and found satisfactory the service conditions, treatment and quality of nutrition. At the same time, the staff of the Office commended that TAXOphones installed in several locations in military units in Ganja to ensure access of servicemen to phones operates properly; got acquainted with living conditions in modular dormitories constructed for bachelor servicemen for overtime, and in buildings for married military officers and warrant officer.
Ombudsman’s representatives held awareness talks with the military personnel and gave recommendations to the command of the military units to further improve the work done.
