The Head of the Ombudsman's Office enhanced its relations in the Russian Federation

The Head of the Ombudsman Office in Azerbaijan, Aydin Safikhanli participated in international conference "Human rights protection in the Eurasian space: the sharing of positive experience of ombudsmen in this area" in Moscow, Russia. Ombudspersons and authorized representatives of a number of countries, including the Russian Federation (RF) and its Oblasts, deputies and gov. officials of the RF, representatives of international and regional human rights organizations, and human rights experts took part in the conference. 

Aydin Safikhanli delivered a "The idea of a democratic, legal and social state is the basis of sustainable and dynamic development of Azerbaijan" underlining the legal, judicial and social policy developments, socially-oriented innovations to ensure decent living standards and improve the welfare of Azerbaijani citizens; regulatory framework in terms of human rights; protection of the rights of different segments of the population; the implementation of educational, scientific-analytical and enlightenment measures, the development of cooperation with international organizations in the field of human rights; as well as on Ombudsman’s activity as national preventive mechanism.
