On 03-06 July, 2018 Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and IOM jointly arranged four-day training titled “Strengthening employment services and active labor market policies to promote youth employment in Azerbaijan”. The training got together representatives of the organizing ministry, National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Azerbaijan, Trade Unions Confederation, Ms. Eqle Radisauskiene, Vice- Minister of Social Security and Labor of Lithuania, Mr. Michail Pushkin, ILO Senior Officer and Mr. Jorge Buma, UNDP Group leader.
Overall work of employment services and cooperation, active and passive labor market programs, portfolio on youth employment promotion projects, training and educational programs by employment services, subsidized occupancy; occupancy policy targeted to vulnerable groups of population; transformation processes from informal to formal occupancy and preparation of action plans at panel sessions.
A representative of the Ombudsman Office, Parvin Rahimov also took part in the training and informed the participants about the Commissioner’s relevant activities.
The question of employment of the former inmates, their integration to society, creation of new employment opportunities and / or vocational trainings in and out of the prison facilities, social adaptation of the released persons were also at the center of discussions.
