The information about the detention of Emin Aslanov was investigated by the Ombudsman

In 04 June 2018, some web pages and social networks shared information about the detention of Emin Aslanov by the police.

At the same time relatives of Emin Aslanov and some mass media representatives called to Ombudsman’s hotline service on the same issue.

Regarding to finding his location and for ensuring his rights Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Elmira Suleymanova immediately applied to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan

As a result of research, it has been defined that, Emin Aslanov was arrested in an administrative order and detained in the Administrative Detention Center for administrative offences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The investigation is going on regarding this case.
